Political participation and new interactive spaces in Kenya – Iginio Gagliardone
Wednesday, January 25, 2012
Iginio explores the findings from the Kenya case of the project “ICTs and citizen-led governance in Africa” @ CGHR – Centre of Governance and Human Rights (University of Cambridge). Iginio explains how spaces that are potentially democratic, such as those created by the interaction between mobile phones and radio stations, can be used by citizens to raise voice, but also by political enterpreneurs to support their own agenda.
