Co-ordinator and Research Fellow

Dr. Nicole Stremlau is Co-ordinator of the Programme in Comparative Media Law and Policy and a Research Fellow in the Centre of Socio-Legal Studies.

Administrator

Louise joined PCMLP as the administrator in 1998.  She previously worked at Glasgow Caledonian University and the BBC in London.

Founder of PCMLP

Professor Price is the director of the Center for Global Communication Studies at the Annenberg School. He is also the Joseph and Sadie Danciger Professor of Law and Director of the Howard M. Squadron Program in Law, Media and Society at the Cardozo School of Law. He directs the Stanhope Centre for Communications Policy Research in London and is the Chair of the Center for Media and Communication Studies of the Central European University in Budapest.

Mooting and India Co-ordinator

Anup is currently a Felix and Gregory Kulkes scholar reading for the D.Phil in Law. He has an under-graduate degree in law from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), University of Law, Hyderabad, India and first came to Oxford in 2007 to read for the BCL. His doctoral research is focused on affirmative action policies for Scheduled Castes and Muslims in India, including the role of the media. 

Researcher
Eleanor Marchant joins us from the Center for Global Communication Studies at the Annenberg School for Communication.  Her research interests include the role of media in diaspora political and social engagement, African media and politics, and the impact of new media technologies and globalization on indigenous communication cultures and channels of political engagement. Eleanor is a researcher for the Somalia media project. 
 
Research Officer

Rogier is a post-doctoral research officer at the Programme for Comparative Media Law and Policy. On the basis of his background in Chinese Studies and International Relations, he wrote a Ph.D. thesis on the relationship between media piracy in China, intellectual property law and media regulation, and globalization. His main research interests include the nexus between media policy and political change in China, with a particular focus on the processes of cooptation and confrontation between the vested regime and potential challengers.
