Global Network

PCMLP is partner and coordinator of the Media Laws blog.

The Secretariat of the International Media Lawyers Association (IMLA) is based at PCMLP.  We co-ordinate the Global Media Law & Policy Network E-mail Discussion List.  The discussion list is an informal, “chatty” list for professionals working and seeking assistance in the field of international media law and policy.  To receive news, information and network with media law practitioners, students, and members of the International Media Lawyers Association, sign up to join the list.

The Centre for Global Communication Studies at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania is a close partner. PCMLP regularly hosts Annenberg PhD students, organizes an annual An-Ox summer school in media policy and is developing other research projects such as an An-Ox working paper series.

Another partner that we work closely with is the Center for Media and Communication Studies (CMCS) which is based at the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest.  CMCS has emerged as a centre of excellence for promoting media and communication studies throughout central and eastern Europe.

PCMLP collaborates with the Stanhope Centre for Communications Policy Research, based at the London School of Economics, on research projects and events. Ongoing and recent projects include research on information flows in Somaliland and public opinion research in Darfur.

PCMLP is very grateful for the support of several other organisations, including:
