The Programme in Comparative Media Law and Policy has cultivated a global network of partners through joint research and initiatives.
PCMLP is partner and coordinator of the Media Laws blog.
The Centre for Global Communication Studies at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania is our close partner. PCMLP regularly hosts Annenberg PhD students, organizes an annual An-Ox summer school in media policy and is developing other research projects such as an An-Ox working paper series.
Another partner that we work closely with is the Center for Media and Communication Studies (CMCS) which is based at the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest. CMCS has emerged as a centre of excellence for promoting media and communication studies throughout central and eastern Europe.
PCMLP collaborates with the Stanhope Centre for Communications Policy Research on research projects and events. Ongoing and recent projects include research on information flows in Somaliland and public opinion research in Darfur.
PCMLP is very grateful for the support of several other organisations, including:
- The British Academy
- Shell International
- The Economic and Social Research Council
- The Open Society Foundations
- The Department for International Development
- The European Commission
- The Leverhulme Trust
- The Foreign and Commonwealth Office
- The John Fell Fund
