Price Media Law Moot Court - Regional Rounds in India

Thursday, 15 December, 2011 (All day) - Sunday, 18 December, 2011 (All day)
National Law University, Delhi

The 2011 Price Media Law Moot Court - Regional Rounds in India will be held from 15-18 December 2011 in collaboration with National Law University Delhi and the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata.

Please note that only teams from Afghanistan, Pakistan and India are eligible to register for this competition. For those teams from other regions please check our news section for the upcoming announcements about the 2012 Price Media Law Moot Court Competition in Oxford.

The 2010 Price Media Law Moot Court - National Rounds in India held was the first step in our strategy to develop a dialogue on issues of freedom of speech through a global moot court programme. Expanding now to include teams from Pakistan is part of the programme's strategy to expose a variety of students to issues of media law. Acknowledging that countries may have different responses to issues of media, technology, free speech, privacy etc, we are keen to use the moot court as a tool to engage with these multiple meanings across the globe. As we develop the moot court in different regions, our priority will be to rely on domestic laws along with using the issues in the moot court problem to provide a framework for our research in these regions.
